Come Wander With Us

As We Explore

Our Journey

The beginning is always the hardest. It seems like no matter how much we plan, over weeks or months even, we always end up packing frantically at the last minute. Leaving the safe predictability of the familiar for the mystery of the unknown can sometimes be nerve racking and is rarely convenient, but moving on to a new place is always worthwhile.

America is truly an amazing wonder and we are both grateful and aware of how fortunate we have been to have this experience.

In the sections below, we’ve put together a number of maps. These maps show where we’ve been, where we are planning to be, and where we will hopefully go someday. Creating these maps was a pleasant walk down memory lane and fueled my desire for continued wandering. I’m so excited to get to share where we’ve been and where we’re going with you.

We also want to hear from you. Where have you been? Where do you want to wander?

Been There, Done That

Come Wander With Us Where We’ve Been

It’s mind-boggling to see all the places we’ve visited. I’ll be honest, I don’t remember all of them in detail and there are things I wish we would’ve done differently, but all were amazing experiences that have made our lives better. As we say, “It’s either a good time or a good story (and usually both)!”

As we say, “It’s either a good time or a good story (and usually both)!”

This map shows all of the places that Chris and I have wandered together. It includes extended stays, overnighters, outings, or really any place that we have strong memories. This is by no means an all inclusive list (I’m organized but not that organized).

To keep track of our travels, we have a Google Calendar with all of our reservations and some of our activities, as well as a log book (which is a cute little butterfly) in the RV of all the places it has been. Receipts and bank statements are another way we track what we’ve done.

As we remember more of our adventures and have new ones, we’ll update this map. This has been a great visual for us to see the areas we’ve missed and must add to our future planning. Come Wander With Us and share where you’ve been. Maybe our paths have crossed!

The Road Not Yet Traveled

Come Wander With Us Where We’re Going

Nothing builds excitement for a trip like seeing where you’re headed. One of the hardest parts of traveling full-time is enjoying where we are while planning where we’re going. Sometimes I just want to skip ahead to something we are really looking forward to, but where we are is just as special. Ahh… the curse of the nomad.

Sometimes I just want to skip ahead to something we are really looking forward to, but where we are is just as special. Ahh… the curse of the nomad.

This map shows all of the places we’re scheduled to go on our calendar (meaning we have an actual plan and have made reservations).

To help keep track of all these reservations, we use multiple calendars, documents, and tools to help us plan, budget, and make the most of our time in an area.

Come Wander With Us and share your suggestions of what we must see or do. Who knows, our paths might even cross one day.

In Our Dreams

Come Wander With Us Where We Hope to Someday Venture

We can’t always get everywhere we want, when we want, but someday we will make it.

Come Wander With Us Where We Hope to Someday Venture

We can’t always get everywhere we want, when we want, but someday we will make it.

This map shows some of the places we want to go someday. I could spend all day on this one, but I had to stop myself. I will be back though. Trust me.

Nothing beats taking a sunset horse or bike ride through the wineries. The view from Glenoaks Hills over the Temecula Valley is breathtaking.
